My name is Tadeusz Smolarski, I am a Pole and for many years I am interested in broadly defined sports statistics. I am a member of the international association of athletics statisticians (The Association of Track and Field Statisticians - ATFS). However, for several years, I devote most attention to swimming only in relation to the competition played on a 50-meter pool. I am most intrested in relay competitions, because they are the best and most meaningful evidence of the swimming level for each country (countries) in the world. This page in the first website which includes both: current and historical performance statistics in terms of all-time and the annual tables. Relay Competitions from begin are played at the Olympic Games, world and European championships. However, from the statistical analysis, I find in the Internet a very small amount of informations which only concern the forefront of countries in the world. Even these publications contains many mistakes and omissions. For some time I work with Mr. FRANCO ANTOGNETTI from Italy, who runs a very good site http://nuotomondiale.altervista.org. My website contains many supplements and expanded information from other web portals. Information and content are mainly addressed to National Swimming Federations, statisticians and fans of the swimming. I would be grateful if you could send me any comment, correction of mistakes and supplements. I look forward to every benevolent attention and your ideas to improve and refine this portal in the future. My particular attention is directed at people in countries where sport swimming just begin in the way of the proper development, especially in Asian and African countries, because there is a meaningful lack of current and reliable information from the events like national or even interntonal championships, played on these continents. It still can be seen many empty places on the attached national records tables for individual competition in individual and relay events.
